Why does the story stick get drawn at the face of the cabinet? Would it be possible to draw it at the back of the cabinet? It would allow for faster and easier changes to the cabinet depth. Currently, if I want to change the depth of the cabinet, I have to make the change in the specifications, then I have to modify the position of the story stick. If it was drawn from the back, a simple change to the specification would suffice. In addition, I think it would make placing construction lines faster/easier.

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for the suggestion, however if the Story Stick were placed at the back of the cabinet, then after you draw the cabinets you wouldn’t be able to see it. You need to see it for operations such as Edit Story Stick, Edit Cabinet and Move Cabinet. Changing cabinet depth should be a rare requirement. I realize it does happen, but you just need to take the one extra step of moving them backwards. Granted, the original working line is still in the old location, but hopefully this doesn’t happen too often. In any case, it would be such a massive change to the internal code at this point that it would be impractical to implement.

Sorry we can’t help in this case

    Greg/Joe…
