SpectatorHi Dan,
I think that all of the holes that need to be corrected can be found on the CNC Boring tab unless you are using Line Boring in which case go to that tab. If you send me a link to your model I can be more specific.

SpectatorHi Jeremy,
You can use Dropbox or the equivalent Google, Microsoft or Apple facility where you can upload the file and send us a link so that we can download it. But Greg is correct. Neither of us can visualize what you are describing.

SpectatorHi Jeremy,
Could you please provide a link to an .skp model file that shows the problem? I can’t visualize what you are describing.

SpectatorHi Dan,
Just a guess, but if your sides are 16mm thick have you adjusted all your hole depths to to accommodate the thinner material? All through holes must be 16mm, not the metric equivalent of 3/4″ (~19mm). If that is not the problem email me a link to your .skp file.

SpectatorHi Lucas,
I am not sure I understand the question. If you refresh the factory settings using the RFS icon and then select Frameless/Hybrid Cabinet Style from the Project tab in the General section, that should give you what you want. Give it a try and if it doesn’t please email me a link to your model at [email protected]. And please provide as much detail as you can about what you are trying to accomplish.

SpectatorHi Michael,
Unfortunately you can’t. At the moment you have to unlock one or all of them by selecting them and using the Context Menu Unlock. But I must admit, that annoys me too. So perhaps I will add an option to CabWriter 6 to let the user decide if they are to be locked or not. Early in this project we decided to lock them to protect the user from accidental change. But perhaps it is too protective.

SpectatorHi Michael,
By second floor I assume you mean a floor approximately 9 ft above the first floor? If so, the answer is no. But, I highly recommend that you don’t drawer the multi-floor project all in the same .skp file. Break it into two .skp files. In fact we recommend that you break multi_room projects into multiple .skp files too. Putting it all in one file leads to other problems besides the Base Cabinet problem.

SpectatorHi,
If you watched CabWriter Comprehensive 3, the entire video series was about modeling a frameless hybrid cabinet; cabinets that are mostly frameless but have connecting stiles. Also, there is a defaults folder that comes with CabWriter called Frameless that you can start with and then might only need to change a few parameters instead of starting with a Face Frame set of parameters. You can access it using the Open and Load CabWriter Defaults icon.

SpectatorHi Jeroen,
Do you mean you don’t see a menu anymore or the CabWriter Settings dialog box does not appear? Have you tried re-installing CabWriter? If that doesn’t work write me at [email protected] .

SpectatorHi Terrell,
I suspect that the construction line you are using on the wall that only allows upper cabinets is on on the ground, but slightly off it. Check that first. If that is not the case provide me with a link to your model or email a zipped version of you model file to [email protected].

SpectatorActually, There is no way to do this directly, since we don’t support a Lazy Susan upper. However, if you follow all the CabWriter naming rules, you can modify a diagonal corner upper to make an L shaped upper.

SpectatorHi Steve,
We have no plans to support integrated toe kicks. Most professional cabinetmakers use either ladder bases or adjustable legs. Greg has pretty much abandoned ladder bases for the adjustable legs and he might want to chime in on why. But integrated toe kicks are not the way we want to go. That’s akin to moving backwards in technology.

SpectatorHi Brent,
Not automatically. But you can use native SketchUp tool to extend the end panels. If you need a demo contact me at [email protected] and I will set up a Zoom session.

SpectatorHi Brent,
I am not sure I understand you question correctly. However, my guess is that you want to set the parameter in the attached image to 0″.

SpectatorHi Gordon,
I am headed out right now for a meeting and can’t give you a full answer. However, If you read Chapter 6 of the User’s Guide it explains haw to do this. If you still have problems write me at [email protected] and I will give you a Zoom session on how to do it. Use the Extensions > CabWriter > Open User’s Guide menu to access the User’s Guide.
