SpectatorHi Michael,
Are you on a PC or a Mac? Have you saved your file with the toolbar open and closed the SketchUp application once with it open?

SpectatorHi Again Todd,
Another technique you can use for the Diagonal Corner and/or Lazy Susan corner Cabinet is to draw them with a cabinet height equal to your tall height but leave the doors off. Then add a fixed shelf and mid-rail with native SketchUp tools. Finally add the doors with the Insert a Door tool. This may actually take less work and look more correct in the end. However, the resulting box will be heavy, especially the Diagonal Corner Cabinet.

SpectatorHi Todd,
For Diagonal or Lazy Susan Corner cabinets, I would stack two cabinets on top of one another, with the bottom one taller than the top one. You may have to fiddle with settings to get exactly what you want, but you can certainly do it.For a Blind Corner Cabinet I would either stack two Blind Cabinets as above, or draw a Divided Cabinet and modify it with native SketchUp tools as I have done in the attached model. Let me know if you have further questions or need help drawing one of these.

SpectatorHi Todd,
Could you provide some more detail? What features of a Divided Cabinet would you like to provide in an upper corner or blind cabinet? Do you have a picture or model of what you would like to see?
While you cannot replicate a divided cabinet in a corner or blind cabinet, you can come close. If you can give me an idea of what you want I can perhaps produce a video showing you how to do it.

SpectatorHi Dan,
This gap can be controlled separately for Base and Upper cabinets. The common parameter if the Face Frame Stile Thickness found in the Face Frame Common section of the Face Frame tab. On the Base Cabinets tab, in the Base General section, the parameter Door/Drawer Front Thickness is the other parameter for Base cabinets. If the Face Frame Stiles Thickness is 13/16″ and the Door/Drawer Front Thickness on the Base Cabinets tab is 3/4″ the the Base gap will be 13/16″ – 3/4″ = 1/16″. Similarly for the Upper cabinets. Here are the two equations.
Base Cabinets: Gap = Face Frame Stiles Thickness – Door/Drawer Front Thickness (on the Base Cabinets tab in Base General section)
Upper Cabinets: Gap = Face Frame Stiles Thickness – Door/Drawer Front Thickness (on the Upper Cabinets tab in Upper General section)This is true even for Frameless designs.

SpectatorHi Dan,
Sorry for the late reply. But Greg’s comments are correct. So follow that approach and let us know how you make out.

SpectatorHi,
What version of CabWriter and SketchUp are you using and on what operating system? Also, for future issues, please zip up and include a copy of your model so that I can look at it on my system. But I can tell by the picture you sent that you probably have two problems. First, you did not run File > CabWriter > Create Basic Scene Set. Hence, I can’t tell what is on your scenes and don’t know if you have included what you need for the reports you are requesting. Second, you are requesting a Doors report, which is one of the three Purchased Parts Reports, but you have no scene assigned to Purchased Part Report. In general, you should select a valid scene for all three Scenes Used in Reports drop-downs, even if you are not requesting such a report. You are also requesting a Stiles & Rails Report but have nothing assigned to Stiles & Rails Report. Make those selections and your will probably succeed in generating the cut lists and layouts. If not, send me your zipped up model to [email protected] and I will see what I can figure out.

SpectatorHi Derek,
This error message can only occur if you clicked on the Make CabWriter Component tool. What you want to do is press the End key on the keyboard. Let me know if that doesn’t solve the problem for you.

SpectatorHi Jeremy,
I have no clue what you are asking, Could you provide a more detailed description, or better yet, a SketchUp model?
