SpectatorHi Scott,
This is usually do to a miss-match in size of the parts you are trying to place and the size of the sheet you are specifying to use. ZIP up your file and email it to me at [email protected]. I will look at it and get back to you.

SpectatorHi Scott,
Look on the Face Frame tab in the Base Drawer Front Heights section at the bottom of the page and see if you have any red circles. If so you need to correct them. At least make sure that the Three Drawer Bank is green. If this doesn’t solve the problem ZIP up your file and email it to me at [email protected].

SpectatorHi Guys,
I have a crazy thought. That blue stripe looks similar to the Sky background that SketchUp provides. Is it possible that you have the Sky checked in the Style you are using? See attached.

SpectatorHi John,
Could you zip up your .skp file and sent it to me along with a description of the steps that fail? I am sure we can resolve it.

SpectatorNo. I am saying that you should not choose a part that is CabWriter Protected when editing a cabinet. CabWriter Protected parts are generally protected because they have already been edited and as a result may have old defaults stored in them. You can recognize CabWriter Protected parts using the Extended Entity Info dialog box and look to see if the the CabWriter Protected checkbox is checked. See attached image.

SpectatorHI Michael,
I have a feeling that the problem you are seeing is because you are selecting CabWriter protected parts when asking CabWriter to re-draw a cabinet. CabWriter protected parts are completely protected from change once you set CabWriter protection. That includes the defaults stored in them. Do not select CabWriter protected parts when you want to re-draw or edit a cabinet. The stored defaults could be several changes old.

SpectatorHi Michael,
Do you have the Home version? Create Drawer Box Parts is not supported in the Home version.

SpectatorHi Michael,
If you go to the CabWriter website (https://cabwritersoftware.com) a choose menu Training > CabWriter Training, you will see two videos on the right hand side called CabWriter 4 New Feature Tutorials (the videos themselves are called What’s New In CabWriter 4?) parts 1 & 2.
